Local development and enviromental governance: Experienced from extractive industry in East Luwu, Indonesia

Likewise sustainable development is intensively carried out without paying attention to surrounding Therefore, this study aims look at PT Vale's mining from perspective Environmental Governance. This research a descriptive qualitative data collection techniques in form observation, interviews literature study. The results seen four indicators, namely effective robust as well fair responsive. Management effectiveness assessed based joint commitment made by Vale local government realizing practices. principle fairness responsiveness can be realized efforts improve socio-economic outcomes people living areas where existence facilitates community opening up job opportunities, providing programs for coastal communities.
